Like men also animals cannot exist without sodium in their daily feed. In Agriculture animal feed salts provide the necessary salt supply.

Animal feed salt is used as an ingredient in industrial produced feed mixes or as a directly applicable supplement of feed. Pure rock salt can be used in the fields. Due to its sophisticated grain structure (approx. 2 – 5 mm), the salt can be spread over the grass using a (fertiliser) spreader. The sodium provides an essential dietary supplement to the basic diet. Absorption of these substances through eating the grass increases milk productivity and the general well-being of cattle.

In animal husbandry lick stones are used. Lick stones come in different compositions, with and without trace elements. Eurosalt supplies natural white and mineral lick stones. Natural white lick stones are made of pure vacuum salt. They retain their shape under all weather conditions. Mineral lick stones for sheep horses and cattle are available in the well-known reddish brown colour. Extensive experience has been gained in Germany using these lick blocks.
