Winter maintenance training

The class winter maintenance training is the ideal preparation for employees active in de-icing. The goal of the class is to teach the employees safe and efficient de-icing of roads in slippery winter conditions.

In cooperation with Verkeersschool Blom BV Eurosalt offers two different classes for winter maintenance.

Both classes are a combination of theory, practice and driving lessons on slippery roads with heavy equipment. In the theoretical part of the class subjects like “Weather and ice formation” and “Spreading Salt and Spreaders” are discussed. The participants will learn when at what weather conditions roads become slippery and how to handle the several forms of ice formation.

The first practise part of the class will handle how to operate a spreader. The adjustment of spreader and plough at the vehicle will be discussed extensively.

The second practise part of the class will handle the behaviour of vehicle with spreader or plough at the road. The participants will experience driving with spreader or plough at winter conditions on a slip lane.

The class winter maintenance training is meant for drivers and executing personnel from contractors, municipalities, provinces and government in winter maintenance.
